About Us | Zoo&co's Doodle Art Clothing & All-Over Prints

Why Zoo&co Exists

Zoo&co began with a simple idea: a drawing can make an ordinary moment feel more alive. Zoo&co is an independent doodle art brand built around curious characters, unexpected details, and the pleasure of looking at life from a different angle.

Our work is not designed to blend in. It is made for people who notice the odd little things, enjoy a sideways joke, and believe personal style should leave room for imagination.

From Conventional Designs to a Doodle World

Zoo&co did not begin with the full-color, all-over print doodle universe you see today. In the early days, we explored more conventional designs and products, learning how artwork changes when it leaves the sketchbook and enters everyday life.

That first chapter mattered. It revealed that the most natural Zoo&co language was not a single logo, motif, or product category, but a living world of characters, patterns, strange details, and visual stories. The transition into doodle art was a move toward more freedom, more rhythm, and more room for the imagination to wander.

If your interest in contemporary doodle artists, playful line art, or unexpected visual worlds brought you here, welcome. Zoo&co follows that spirit of curiosity while developing its own colorful visual language, filled with curious characters, unexpected patterns, and details that invite a second look.

Our Inspirations: Free Drawing and Unexpected Worlds

Zoo&co’s inspirations come from the wider world of doodle art, playful line drawing, and artists who let simple marks grow into memorable visual languages.

Doodle and Character Worlds

  • Mr Doodle, also known as Sam Cox, for immersive doodle-filled worlds and energetic black-and-white line work.
  • Jon Burgerman, for colorful, expressive characters and a mischievous sense of humor.
  • Kerby Rosanes, for intricate doodle illustrations filled with fantastical creatures and tiny details.
  • Hattie Stewart, for bringing colorful doodle-bombing and playful characters into fashion and editorial culture.

Line, Symbols and Spontaneous Mark-Making

  • Keith Haring, for showing how simple lines and bold figures can communicate powerful ideas.
  • Shantell Martin, for free-flowing line drawings, improvisation, and immersive visual worlds.
  • David Shrigley, for turning simple line work and unexpected words into sharp, absurd humor.
  • Jean-Michel Basquiat, for raw symbols, spontaneous mark-making, and expressive visual energy.

Playful Visual Storytelling

  • André Saraiva, for connecting playful drawing with street art, fashion, and visual culture through the character Mr. A.
  • James Rizzi, for exuberant pop-art characters, playful cityscapes, and joyful visual storytelling.
  • Gary Taxali, for cartoon-inspired imagery, graphic character work, and clever social observation.

But the deepest inspiration is the act of drawing freely. With less planning and more spontaneity, a line can become a creature, a small mark can trigger an entire pattern, and unexpected combinations can give birth to fantastic results. We leave room for the drawing to surprise us.

These artists are inspirations, not Zoo&co collaborations. The doodle characters, patterns, and all-over print designs you find here are original work from the Zoo&co studio.

Drawn from Curiosity, Not a Trend

Each Zoo&co idea starts with lines, shapes, and questions. A creature might begin as a quick sketch. A pattern might grow from a tangle of marks. A familiar idea can turn strange, funny, or surprisingly tender once it enters the Zoo&co world.

Instead of forcing every drawing into a fixed formula, the creative process follows its character and energy. The result can be bold, mischievous, thoughtful, or delightfully hard to explain, but it always leaves space for one more unexpected detail.

Inside the Drawing Lounge

The Drawing Lounge is the imaginative heart of Zoo&co. Picture a relaxed studio where sketches, conversations, colors, and impossible creatures share the same table. It is where ideas can collide without needing to behave.

In this space, characters become more than decoration. They act out small stories, carry curious messages, and invite you to decide what you see in them. Humor, reflection, and optimism are welcome, but never forced. The drawing leads the way.

When Doodle Art Covers the Whole Canvas

As Zoo&co grew, doodle art moved beyond a single motif and into all-over print designs. Instead of placing one image in one small spot, an all-over print lets characters, lines, colors, and patterns travel across the full surface.

This is how doodle art becomes all-over print clothing and artwear: a more immersive visual field that rewards a closer look. Find a new expression, creature, or visual joke, then step back and see the details become one energetic world.

From RONY’s Original Paintings to Wearable Art

Alongside the doodle universe, Zoo&co also celebrates RONY’s original paintings. These artworks begin as individual pieces, with their own atmosphere, movement, and visual story.

When a painting becomes part of the Zoo&co collection, it brings the presence of an original artwork into a new format. The painting remains the source, while its colors, rhythm, and artistic spirit continue into art to wear and other creative pieces.

This meeting of original painting, doodle art, and all-over print is part of what makes Zoo&co different: one creative world, with more than one way to discover it.

A Different Way of Seeing

Zoo&co is about creative attention: noticing the strange shape in the corner, the expression that almost makes sense, or the tiny visual joke hiding in a pattern. These details turn art into a conversation between the design and the person who discovers it.

That is why our art can feel personal even when it starts with a simple doodle. You bring your own mood, memories, and interpretation to it. The result is never just something to look at. It becomes part of the way you see.
